Kathleen Elizabeth Lapsley, born March 5, 1938, to William and Helen Wantland in Phoenix, Arizona, went to be with Jesus on September 2, 2023. She is survived by her sister, Carol; three daughters: Cheri, Dianne & Kaeryn, and two sons, William and Jack. She was blessed with six grandchildren: Leslie, Joseph, Steven, Roxanne, William and Ryan, and four great grandchildren: Jordan,Seger, Kash and Lili. Kathleen (Kathy) spent most of her life in her birthplace of Phoenix, though she was well travelled, living at different times in Alaska, California, Texas, Ohio and Louisiana. In 1975, she returned to Phoenix where she spent the remainder of her life, working and caring for her growing family and various stray animals. Kathleen lived a long and eventful life, shared often by best friend, Veronica Hernandez, and came to be loved by every person (and a great many stray cats) she chanced to meet. With her passing, the world has lost a kind and generous soul, but we are grateful for having been blessed with her while she lived.
