age 84, born December 22, 1928, in Kenesaw, Nebraska, died Tuesday, August 6, 2013 in Sun City, Arizona.  He was a long-time resident of Hastings, Nebraska, before moving to Omaha, Nebraska, in 1969.  He had resided in Sun City, Arizona, since 1996. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Roma I. McFerren (Christensen).  Survivors include his daughter, Ann and son-in-law, Dan Murphy, of Omaha, Nebraska; his daughter, Nancy and son-in-law, Dennis Ruben of Scottsdale, Arizona; his grandchildren; Lauren Auerbach, Molly Winters, Brian and Daniel Ruben, Sam Murphy; and step-grandson, Mike Murphy.  A private memorial service will take place in Minden, Nebraska. Memorials may be directed to the Fredericksburg Lutheran Church of Minden, Nebraska, or the Alzheimer’s Foundation.
