LOIS JEAN BLONSTEIN WAS BORN 07/18/1950 IN CHICAGO ILL. TO ARTHUR & DOROTHY BLONSTEIN  UNFORTUNATELY, LOIS WAS BRAIN DAMAGED DURING THE BIRTHING PROCEDURE. SHE BECAME A VICTIM OF CEREBRAL PALSEY & WAS LEFT WITHOUT SPEECH & WITH THE "IQ" OF A HAPPY FOUR TO SIX YEAR OLD GIRL. SHE WAS RAISED IN HILLSIDE ILL. SHE HAD, DESPITE HER HANDICAPS A VERY STRONG CONSTITUTION & WILL WHICH ENABLED HER TO GREATLY OUT-LIVE ALL OF HER PHYSCIANS PREDICTIONS OF A VERY SHORT LIFE SPAN. SHE REMAINED IN HER PARENTS CARE THEIR ENTIRE LIFE. UPON HER FATHERS RETIREMENT THEY RELOCATED TO SUN CITY WEST ARIZONA IN 1988 . THROUGH OUT HER LIFE LOIS PARTICIPATED WITH NUMEROUS ORGANIZATIONS THAT BENEFIT HANDICAPPED INDIVIDUALS . OUR FAMILY WISHES TO EXTEND THANKS TO ALL OF THE ORGANIZATIONS & INDIVIDUALS THAT TOUCHED & IMPROVED LOIS S QUALITY OF LIFE . AFTER HER MOTHER & FATHERS DEATH , BROTHER ROBERT BECAME HER GUARDIAN . IN THESE LATER YEARS SHE RESIDED WITH SEVERAL LICENSED CARE-GIVERS IN THEIR HOMES IN THE SUN CITY WEST & PHOENIX AREA . UNTIL HER HEALTH BEGAN SERIOUSLY DEGRADE-ING IN APPROXIMATELY 2023 SHE WAS BASICALLY A HAPPY GIRL WHO ENJOYED THE SIMPLE ACTIVITIES SUCH AS COLORING BOOKS , COMPLICATED PUZZLES , STUFFED ANIMALS , ATTENDING HER WEEKLY DAY-CARE PROGRAMS & THE COMPANY OF THE PEOPLE AROUND HER . REGARDLES OF HER HANDICAPS LOIS EARNED A SPECIAL PLACE IN EVERYONES HEART THAT CAME TO KNOW HER . LOIS PASSED AWAY IN HOSPICE CARE 02/28/2024 . SHE WILL BE SORELY MISSED . LOIS'S ASHES WILL BE INTERNED WITH HER PARENTS IN THE NATIONAL MEMORIAL CEMETARY IN PHOENIX AZ . SHE HAS LEFT BEHIND IN ORDER OF AGE : OLDER SISTER CAROL WOOLERY OF SACRAMENTO CA. , YOUNGER BROTHER ROBERT BLONSTEIN OF STOVER MO. , YOUNGER SISTER ELLEN LONGABAUGH OF ROLLING MEADOWS ILL. PLUS MANY FOND MOMENTS FOR WHICH SHE WILL BE REMEMBERED
