Louis Warfel

Louis Warfel was called to the lord on April 7th, 2022. Louis was born in Chester, Pa. on Dec. 21st,1924 to Louis and Mary (Bunce) Warfel. He was the oldest of six children. He is survived by his sister Rose Samohod, Helen Watson, and Joseph Warfel. Preceded in death by his brother Robert Warfel and sister Betty Bartlewski. Louis attended St. James Catholic High School and graduated in 1942. Afterwards he joined the Army and served in WWII in France and Germany. Upon discharge from the service, Lou met and married Elizabeth Jane Brooks with whom he spent 54 years. Betty Jane passed in 2002. Lou and Betty set up home in Delaware County, Pa. where they went on to have 15 Children; Judith Needles (Dennis Ferry), James (Maryanne Nash), Patricia, with whom he lived, Steven, John (Denise Weaver, Deceased) Louis, Paul (Carolyn Hyde), Christopher (Deceased), Mary Lelli, Joseph, Michael, Daniel, Joachim, Teresa Kok (James) and Anne. 40 Grand children, 59 Great Grandchildren, and 4 G.G.Grandchildren. Lou was a caring, and patient man and worked as the manager of Butens Paints in various locations throughout Delaware County, Pa. Upon his and Betty’s retirement, they moved to Phoenix, and had a home in Orangewood Village where they had an active lifestyle with golf and social events. They were always active in the church. They traveled the world and really enjoyed themselves. Recently Louis and Patricia relocated to Sun City.
