Obituary

Lucille (Lu) Brannigan of Sun City, Arizona, passed away December 4, 2010. Lu was born and reared in Coal county, Coalgate, Oklahoma. She was born on March 7, 1930. She was preceded in death by her husband Jerome who passed away in September 1995. Lu was employed by The Prudential Insurance Company of America for 24 years as a Human Resource Consultant. Lu was a parishioner in St. Augustine's Catholic Church for 34 years where she held many positions there as a volunteer. She is now a member of the Church of St. Joachim & St Anne in Sun City, AZ. She was also a volunteer for the American Cancer Society. She loved fishing, bowling and all sports, especially the Phoenix Suns. Lu is survived by her four children, daughter LuAnn and son John of Phoenix, son Patrick of Green Valley and son Jerry, from Fairfield, CA. She is survived by 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She is also survived by a brother, R.L. Ott, of Midlothian, Virginia, Sisters Francis Foreman of Sparks, Nevada, and Faye Cannon of Wayne Oklahoma. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. with scripture service at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 9, 2010 at Menke Funeral & Cremation Center, 12420 N. 103rd Ave., Sun City, AZ. Funeral mass will be at 11:00 a.m., Friday, Dec. 10, 2010 at St. Joachim & St. Anne Catholic Church, 11625 N. 111th Ave., Sun City, AZ. Interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society, 4550 E Bell Rd., suite 126, Phoenix, AZ
