Margaret was the daughter of Aloysius and Mary Haas and was embraced by the warmth of a large family. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Norbert (Nubby) Wedl, who left this world in 2016. Margaret's formative years in Jefferson played a significant role in shaping the compassionate and generous person she became.
Her love for life was evident in her passions, particularly in her enjoyment of playing bingo and blackjack at the El Dorado condominiums. These activities provided her not just with entertainment but also with cherished moments spent in the company of friends and neighbors.
Margaret is survived by her sister, Carol Kemmerer, and her brother-in-law, David. She leaves behind a remarkable legacy as an aunt and great-aunt, with over 40 loving nieces and nephews who admired her deeply. Margaret's nurturing spirit extended beyond her immediate family as she was instrumental in raising several children as her own, showcasing a profound capacity for love and support.
She is also remembered for her resilience, having endured the loss of seven brothers and six sisters, with whom she shared many fond memories throughout her life.
Funeral masses will be held at a later date in Sun City, Arizona, and in her hometown of Jefferson, Wisconsin, allowing family and friends to gather in remembrance of a truly remarkable woman. Margaret Katherine Wedl leaves behind a legacy of love, generosity, and familial devotion that will endure in the hearts of all who knew her.
