Obituary

Marilyn J. Raymer, 73, of Phoenix, Arizona, passed away on June 23rd, 2026, in Glendale, Arizona. She was born on January 11th 1953, in Waynesburg, Pennsylvania. She was the second of four children (Linda, Marilyn, Mike, and Laura). She lived in the Phoenix metropolitan area for over 60 years.

Marilyn attended Glendale High School and furthered her education at Glendale Community College. While raising children, Marilyn enjoyed a variety of careers before retirement. She spent time working at various community centers as an aerobics instructor and an aid for an after-school program. Eventually she became a paraeducator which reveals a lot about her compassion and care for others. She later retired from being a paraeducator, however she kept in contact with former students and their families.

Marilyn was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, a community in which she coveted. In her free time, she loved fishing, camping, and spending time with family and friends. She had a passion for collecting dolls and wholeheartedly loved her unique breeds of dogs. She was an exceptional artist and designed shirts and other decorations that she sold at art markets.

She is survived by her cherished partner Rodger Dufour, her daughter Sheree Moore, son Tim Gibbs, son Kasey Gibbs, daughter Tiff Gibbs, and Mother Helen Woerner. She was preceded in death by her father Roland Raymer.
