Mary Louise Zomok

August 27, 1938 — November 9, 2023

On November 9, 2023, Mary Louise (Kratzenberg) Zomok, age 85, passed away.

She was born in Pittsburgh, PA where she lived until she married the love of her life, Ron, and travled the world as the wife of a Navy Submariner.

Throughout her life, Marilou had many jobs, from telephone operator, receptionist, and substitute teacher. But her most fulfilling job was that of mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Family was the most important thing to Marilou, and she was always excited to share the accomplishments of her family with anyone who would listen!

Marilou loved to sing, square dance, and do crafts. Even though she suffered from Parkinson's which caused her hands to shake, she as able to hand sew the most beautiful cards that she loved to send to family and friends for special occasions.

Marilou loved to travel. She spoke fluent Spanish which came in handy when she and Ron would make numerous trips to Rocky Point in their 5th wheel to relax at the beach.

Marilou's smile was infectious and to her, there were no strangers, only friends she hadn't met yet. She talked to everyone and made friends with everyone she met.

Marilou is survived by her children, Bud (Lorraine) Zomok, and Rhonda (George) Nolan; grandsons, Josh (Danielle), and Vincent (Erika); great grandchildren, Averie, Aisley, and Colt.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 62 years, Ronald Zomok; her parents, Charles and Emma Kratzenberg; her brothers, Charles and WIlliam; her sister, Dolores; and twin great grandsons, Bennett and Ford.

She will be missed beyond words, but she is flying high doing the Polka with Ron.

Services will be held Wednesday, December 20, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joachim and St. Anne Parish, 11625 N 111th Ave, Sun City, AZ 85351.
