Mary Margaret Woodford, 93, of Peoria, Arizona was born, raised, and lived in Brooklyn, NY for 30 years. She was a 35-year resident of North Merrick, NY where she raised her three children and worked as a compositor for the local Merrick Life newspaper.

Mary retired to Peoria in 1995 with her husband of 58 years, Alexander R. Woodford (1931-2010) and was an active member of St Elizabeth Seton Parish in Sun City, AZ.

She was the daughter of John J. and Helen (O’Connor) Heslin.

She is survived by her children Gerard Woodford (Lisa), John Woodford (Susan) and Mary Ann Klein (Matthew); grandchildren Ryan Woodford (Eliotte), Kelsey Woodford (Sean Sapp), Melissa Taitano (Mitchell), Kelly Whitted (Jackson), Allison Fernandez (Sam), and Emily Klein, and great-grandchildren James Woodford and Sylvie Woodford Sapp.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m., on Wednesday, December 3, 2025 at St Thomas More Catholic Church, 6180 W Utopia, Glendale, AZ
