Merrill Bernard Hunter of Sun City and Kirkland, Arizona passed away on March 23, 2026, at the age of 81.

Born and raised on a farm in Pipestone, Minnesota, Merrill had an enterprising and adventurous spirit. He attended Edgerton High School, where he played football, and later studied at DeVry University in Chicago. He was an entrepreneur at heart and never afraid to take risks, exploring many ventures over the years before finding his place in the hearing industry.

Merrill owned and operated AudioEar Hearing in Sun City and Hi-Tech Hearing in Wickenburg. He helped countless people throughout his life, and was known for his sense of humor, generous spirit, and his ability to inspire others.

Merrill shared nearly 48 years of marriage with his wife, Sindy. Together they created a life full of adventure, enjoying camping, boating, motorcycles, and time spent exploring.

Merrill was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sindy. He is survived by his children Ty, Tab, Tammy, and Travis Hunter, and Aleesha Greene; seven grandchildren; his brother Boyd Hunter; and many friends and extended family.

A memorial service honoring Merrill will be held on April 10, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Menke Funeral Home in Sun City, followed by a burial at Sunland Memorial Park and a gathering with food and remembrance.
