Obituary

Nash Matthew Pryor, lovingly know as "Nashy" or "Nashito," passed away on August 17, 2026, at the age of thirteen in a tragic accident that left his family, friends, and community heartbroken. Bon on April 16, 2013, in Waddell, Arizona, Nash lived his entire life in the community he loved, filling it with his infectious smile and boundless energy. He had a chill vibe and was known as the "King of Waddell."

Nash was the kind of kid who lit up every room he walked into. Sweet, compassionate, silly, and friendly to everyone, he had a way of making those around him feel special. He was smart and quick-witted, always ready with a joke or a kind word, and his smile was constant. Whether he was lifting the spirits of a teammate having a rough day or standing by a friend who needed support, Nash showed a depth of heart that went far beyond his years.

Baseball was Nash's great passion, and he poured himself into the game from the very beginning. Starting with T-ball, he never looked back, playing through every level the sport offered. He was a proud member of the Litchfield Park Little League and competed on the school team at Belen Soto Elementary School. His love for the game also led him to a club team, where he played with the Goodyear Wolves. On the diamond as in life, Nash gave everything he had.

Nash is survived by his devoted parents, Johanna Lynne Pryor and Matthew Leon Pryor; his two brothers, Easton Matthew Pryor and Jax Matthew Pryor; his grandparents, Kim Marini and Mark Marini, Marta Pryor and Fred Pryor, and Douglas Grandt; as well as great grandfather Eugene Hall and countless aunts, uncles, cousins, coaches and friends whose lives he touched deeply.

Nash was raised in the Christian faith, and his family finds comfort in knowing he is held safely in the arms of the Lord. As it is written in Psalm 34:18, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." Nash lived a life worthy of praise, and his light will continue to shine through everyone who was blessed to know him.

Though his time her was far too short, Nash filled ever one of his thirteen years with love, laughter, and kindness. He will be deeply and forever missed.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, August 29, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Palm Valley Church, Goodyear Campus, 431 N. Litchfield Rd., Goodyear, AZ 85355.
