Patricia Louise Scudder passed away on August 5, 2026 at the age of 77. Born on November 16, 1948 in St Paul, Minnesota. She lived in the Twin Cities until 1994, when she then moved to Phoenix, Arizona.

Patti graduated from Academy of Holy Angels High School in Richfield, Minnesota. She attended St. Mary’s University of Minnesota where she earned an associate degree in Occupational Therapy. To further her education, she graduated from Saint Catherine University with a BA in Social Work.

Patti began her career at St Paul’s Developmental Achievement Center as an occupational therapist where she helped young multiple handicapped children. She also served as an occupational therapist at Fairview /Rehabilitation Center in St. Paul, Minnesota. Later in her career, she worked in the Deer Valley Unified School District at Sunrise and El Mirage Elementary School in Phoenix, Arizona. Her last position was with AZOT4Kids in Phoenix.

Patti was active in the Franciscan Renewal Center in Phoenix Arizona, and she was an avid follower of the plant-strong diet introduced by the Esselstyn family. She also lived her life following the teachings of Prem Rawat, devoted to personal peace, self-knowledge, and the belief that peace is possible for every individual.

She is survived by her partner of 32 years, Bruce Taylor, her sisters, Barbara Ann Holmes (nephew Kurt Holmes, niece Amy Holmes)and Kathleen Marie Hansen (Russ); (nephew,Mike Hansen (Lisa ),nieces Molly Siemens (Ryan), and Meghan Rambow (Eric), her brothers John Michael Scudder, (nephew Travis Scudder, niece, Afton Francis (Alex) ) and Thomas James Scudder, niece Shea Cristal (Ryan). She is also lovingly remembered by her great nieces and great nephews, and by her many cousins and the friends she made along her journey in life.

Patti was preceded in death by her father, John Scudder; her mother, Mary Ann Scudder, her grandfather, Raleigh Scudder, her grandmother, Ethyl Scudder; her aunts, Peggy Brown and Jeanne Fuller (Paul), and her uncles, Robert Brown (Joan) and James Brown.

A Celebration of Life and lunch will be held on September 18, 2026, at 11:30am at the Menke Funeral and Cremation Center, 12420 N 103rd Ave., Sun City AZ 85351.
