Philip “Larry” Francisco, 84, of Phoenix, Arizona, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, under the compassionate care of Hospice of the Valley, with his two daughters by his side.
Born January 21, 1942, in Williamson, West Virginia, Phil was the son of Philip “Pete” Francisco and Mabel Wallace Francisco. After graduating from high school in Williamson, he enlisted in the United States Air Force, beginning a distinguished military career that spanned 21 years.

A Life of Service:

Phil proudly served his country with honor, integrity, and commitment, retiring from the United States Air Force as a Master Sergeant. 

During his military career, he was stationed at:
• Grand Forks Air Force Base, North Dakota
• Moody Air Force Base, Georgia
• Andrews Air Force Base, Maryland
• McConnell Air Force Base, Kansas
• RAF Alconbury, United Kingdom
• Osan Air Base, Korea
• Thailand
• Vietnam
While stationed at Grand Forks Air Force Base, he met and married Kay Selnes in 1965. In 1982, he married Karen Limbrick in Kansas City.
Following his honorable discharge from the Air Force, Phil continued his career with AlliedSignal in Olathe, Kansas, and later with the United States Postal Service in Phoenix, Arizona.

Family and Legacy:

Phil will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his daughters, Lori (Scott) Fairburn and Jessica (Kari) Evans-Francisco; Clifton (Danielle) Bell; and his grandchildren Ken, Caleb, Paxton, Ronan, Cora, Kate, Hayes, Luna, and Wallace.
He is also survived by many cousins who were like brothers and sisters to him throughout his life.
Phil was preceded in death by his parents, Philip “Pete” Francisco and Mabel Wallace Francisco.

Memorial Service:

A military honors memorial service will be held at a later date.
Phil’s life reflected devotion to his family, pride in his country, and a quiet strength that will remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
