Ramon Ruiz Ruelas, passed away peacefully on May 23, 2026, in Peoria, Arizona. Born on April 4, 1958, in Glendale, Arizona, Ramon lived a life marked by strength, intelligence, and an unwavering dedication to those he loved.

From an early age, Ramon demonstrated remarkable resilience and determination. He graduated from high school and answered the call to serve his country by joining the Army, where he was honorably discharged after his service. His military experience was just one chapter in a lifelong story of commitment and discipline.

Professionally, Ramon spent most of his working years as a roofer, a career that exemplified his work ethic and physical stamina.

Ramon's personality was one defined by strength, intelligence, and a love for learning. An avid reader and sports enthusiast during his youth, he carried his passions quietly but fervently throughout his lifetime. Above all, Ramon treasured his family deeply, cherishing every moment spent in their company.

He is survived by his daughter, Leah Ruelas, and four grandchildren who were a source of great pride and joy to him. His brother, John Ruelas, and sister, Mary Ruelas Turpin, remain pillars of support and remembrance. Additionally, Ramon’s extended family includes his nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Ramon was predeceased by his beloved parents, Ramon F. and Lupe R. Ruelas, his wife Shari, and his brother, Alex R. Ruelas.

During his last months of life Ramon found great peace in having the bible read to him, and he found solace in God's words that were spoken to his heart. May he rest in peace.

Family, friends, and all who knew Ramon are invited to pay their respects at Menke Funeral & Cremation Center, located at 12420 N 103rd Ave, Sun City, AZ 85351. Visitation will be held on June 5, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., followed immediately by the funeral service from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
