Sun City, AZ

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Rina Rae Vinzani Andrea, a cherished educator and beloved member of her community, who departed this world on September 4, 2025, in Sun City, Arizona, at the age of 84. Born on September 16, 1940, in Gary, Indiana, Rina led a remarkable life marked by love, laughter, and an unwavering dedication to teaching.

Rina’s journey as an educator began at Bishop Noll High School, where she along with her mirror twin sister, Dina Lee, nurtured their dreams, cultivating a bond that would shape their lives. Rina pursued a Bachelor’s degree in Teaching from The College of St. Therese, deepening her thirst for knowledge and her commitment to fostering young minds.

For many years, Rina dedicated her life to teaching at Kenosha Unified Schools, where she made a lasting impact on the lives of countless children as a Second Grade Teacher. Her passion for education was evident in her every endeavor, serving as head of the substitute teacher organization in Kenosha, WI, before returning to teaching full-time after the birth of her son, Robert.

Rina embraced her hobbies with zest, finding joy in playing bridge, practicing the delicate art of cross stitch, and reveling in the charm of classic cinema. She had a special fondness for films such as "The Blues Brothers," "Top Gun," and "Rudy," embodying a vibrant spirit that understood the importance of enjoying life’s simple pleasures. Rina also relished horseback riding and losing herself in the novels of Debbie Macomber.

A devoted member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church and affiliated with St. Joachim and St. Anne Catholic Parish in Sun City, Rina’s faith was a guiding light in her life, instilling the values of kindness and community service in all her endeavors.

Throughout her years, Rina was an active participant in the Women’s Club of Kenosha, where she found joy and fulfillment in the friendships and collective efforts aimed at uplifting her community. She also lent her support to various organizations, including KCREA (Kenosha County Retired Educators Association), WREA (Wisconsin Retired Teachers Association), Alpha Delta Kappa, and the Zeta Sisters.

Rina is survived by her loving son, Robert Andrea, and numerous nieces and nephews, who will carry forward her legacy of love and commitment to family and education. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 52 years, Louis Carmen Andrea, her dear twin sister, Dina Lee, and her devoted parents, Earl and Antoinette Vinzani.

As we gather to remember Rina Rae Andrea, we celebrate a life beautifully lived, a legacy of inspiration, kindness, and community service that will forever resonate in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.

A Celebration of Life for Rina will be held at a later date, where we will honor her memory and the countless ways she has touched our lives.
