Robert Roy
Armitage
September 24, 1932 – April 2, 2026
Born and raised in Ossining, New York, Bob proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War era, including two years stationed in Hawaii.
At 27, he met the love of his life, Sandra Judkins, at Ramstein Air Force Base in Germany. They later married and began their life together abroad, living in England, before settling in Brookfield, Connecticut, where they raised their family, including daughters Lisa, Lori and Leslie.
Bob began his career as a schoolteacher and went on to serve for many years as a principal in New York. He was deeply committed to education and to the students, families, and communities he served.
A quiet and steady man, Bob lived by a strong sense of duty and integrity, always putting his family first. His strength, consistency, and unwavering commitment to doing what was right created the foundation for a close and loving family—his greatest legacy.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Sandra; his children Lisa Perdrizet (Robert), Lori Juscius (Matthew), and Leslie Demmert; his grandchildren Keenan Perdrizet, Jade Perdrizet, Mallory Martinez, Sydney Wright, and Amare Demmert; and his brother Norman Armitage (Ellen).
He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
