Robert Martin

Robert W. Martin, 78, of Surprise, AZ passed away Friday, April 21, after a long four year battle with lung cancer. Robert, the son of Fern and Ivah Hafelein Martin, was born April 16, 1928 in Midland, Michigan. He went to work for the Dow Chemical Company in 1943. He left to join the U.S. Marine Corps in 1945. During his service time he was selected to serve as an aide to President Harry S. Truman during a cruise to Rio de Janeiro aboard the USS Missouri and again during President Truman
