Rosa Parsley

Rosa passed away on March 27, 2023 in Sun City, AZ from complications of a stroke. Rosa Francis (Laxton) Parsley was born on April 24th, 1940 to Sam Laxton, a coal miner, and Mary (Ellison) Laxton in Key Rock, WV, the second of five children, she is survived by her brother, James (Cathy) Laxton of Lynco, WV, and sister Ruth Wescott of Newport News, VA. She is also survived by her son Russell (Bonnie) Parsley of El Mirage, AZ and daughter Gina (Devon) Miller of Albuquerque, NM and 4 grandchildren, Stephani (Eric) Smith, Holli (Matt) Parsley-Becerra, Chris Corsi and Danny Corsi. Also 5 great grandchildren, Elisabeth Perry, Brodi Sambo, Richard Smith, Madilyn Becerra and Liam Becerra. Rosa was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 59 years, James Parsley, Sisters Jean Pisano and Margaret (Peg) Williamson, Nephew Martin Pisano and niece Gujuan Topping. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 8th, 2023 at 11am at the First Country Baptist Church, 12844 W Santa Fe Drive, Surprise, AZ 85378.
