Sharon Holmes Hyde

October 31, 1946 — February 2, 2022

Sharon Lee Morgan Holmes Hyde Beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Sister, Aunt and Friend to many passed away on February 2, 2022 at the age of 75. She was born October 31, 1946 in Minnesota to Lyle and Shirley Morgan, who brought their family, including her three baby brothers, Roger, Luther, and Lynn, to Tucson when she was 9 years old. Sharon deeply loved horses and grew up riding, training, and competing. As a young woman, she met her first love, Douglas Arthur Holmes, at a fast-draw competition in Prescott. They married in 1966 and moved to Phoenix in 1972. Sharon was talented artist, a charter member of the Mission View Saddle Club, and a lifelong dog fancier and championship breeder of German Shepherds, Miniature Dachshunds and Schipperkes. Most recently she was owner of Schipadox Schipperkes, Where Quality Shows and was a founding member of the Schipperke Club of Central Arizona. She and Doug were also founding members of the Red Wing Pottery Club and worked together in landscape design throughout their 42-year marriage. After Doug’s passing in 2009, Sharon married her cherished childhood friend John Hyde in 2016, and together they shared five very special years of love and devotion. No person ever loved her family and friends more fiercely than Sharon did. She leaves behind her son Bryan (Stormy), daughter Joni (Jeffrey), grandchildren Kylene (her Ky) and Jeffrey (her JBo) and great grandson Aiden Douglas. She was also fortunate to have many she called grandchildren and great grandchildren in Bryan and John’s extended families. She was at her best when cheering us all on and was our number #1 fan in all we did. She could be heard across the field at JBo’s baseball games and was always ready for a good pinochle, poker or bingo game. Services will be held on Wednesday, February 9, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. at Menke Funeral Home, 12420 N. 103rd Ave., Sun City, AZ. Please consider wearing her favorite color purple in her honor.
