Vera Ann Lyons, 76, passed away peacefully in Peoria, Arizona, on July 29, 2026, surrounded by her loved ones. She will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.

Born on December 10, 1949, in St. Charles, Missouri, to Raymond and Cleta Waechter, Vera moved to Liberty, Missouri, where she met the love of her life, Chris Lyons.

In 1975, they settled in Phoenix, Arizona, and raised their three daughters. Together, they enjoyed traveling, boating, riding their Harley, and spending summers at their cabin in Flagstaff. Vera also found joy in sewing, baking, and playing the slots at the casino.
Vera is survived by her daughters, Christie DeSpain, Deanna Jergenson, and Rae Lyons; six beloved grandchildren, who lovingly knew her as "Memaw"; her sisters, Ava and Debbie; and her brother, Jeff. She was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved husband of 52 years, Chris.

Mom, Dad and Jesus took your hand and said it was time! We rejoice knowing you are reunited with Dad in heaven. We will miss you dearly but know that you are happy and free. We love you!
