Verna Severa, 87, of El Mirage, AZ died Feb. 14, 2013 at a Peoria, Arizona Hospice. She was born Feb. 4, 1926. She lived in El Mirage for the last 5 years. She was formerly of Las Vegas, NV and Omaha, NE. Her husband Ed Severa preceded her in death. Survivors include two daughters, Pamela Carter of El Mirage, AZ and Karen Shirk of Omaha, NE; two grandchildren, Amanda Shirk of Denver, CO and Lauren Shirk of Omaha, NE; three great-grandchildren, Christopher of Avondale, AZ, Danielle and Tristen of Las Vegas, NV.
