Obituary

Vincent Sebastian DiPietro (Vince), 85, passed away surrounded by his loving family on April 6, 2025.

Vince was born and raised in Lawrence, Massachusetts and it was there that he met his high school sweetheart, the love of his life, Barbara. They were married on August 8, 1959, embarking on a journey together that would last for 65 beautiful years. Their marriage was filled with unwavering love, deep affection and mutual support.

Vince served in the United State Air Force in Forth Worth, Texas. He was honorably discharged in 1961 and returned to Massachusetts. In 1964, he and Barbara gathered up their four young children and made the long trek across the United States making Glendale, Arizona their home. Vince used his talents as an aircraft mechanic working in the airline industry. He also enjoyed part time barbering and discussing sports with many friends and clients.

Upon retirement, he and Barbara enjoyed many adventures throughout the world. He enjoyed gardening, hiking, and his favorite sport, baseball while living in Sedona and Prescott. But his love for family brought them back to the valley where he spent many a day watching his grandchildren play sports, attending school functions, birthday parties and lots of family gatherings.

Vince's true happiness was his family. His love for God is the legacy he most wanted passed down to his future generations. He is survived by his wife, Barbara; children, Dori DiPietro (Scott Butler), Catherine Gabbard (Don), Louis DiPietro (Kelli), and Amy Dykes (Kevin); 12 grandchildren - Chris, Nathan, Lindsay, Danny, Nick, Victoria, Josh, Samuel, Donavin, Micah, Seth, and Jenna; and 14 great-grandchildren - Adam, Dominic, Vivian, Lincoln, Raegan, Declan, Sage, Tatum, Amelia, Vincent, Piper, Levi, Beckham, and Summer. He cherished time spent with each one of them.

He is preceded in death by his parents, siblings, and firstborn grandson, Garrett Vincent.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service held at Menke Funeral and Cremation Center on Friday, May 9, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. with a reception to follow the service. Vince will be laid to rest at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona.
