William "Bill" Bingham Jr.

William Cary “Bill” Bingham, Jr passed away at Banner Estrella Medical Center, Phoenix AZ on January 14, 2021. Bill was born on February 21, 1934 to William C. and Marjory Bingham in Jackson, Michigan. He is survived by 3 sons, Michael (Karen), William (Scott) and Paul (Penny), 5 Grandchildren and 3 Great Grandchildren and his sister, Barbara (Marvin) Lambright, and 3 nephews and their families. He was preceded in death by his parents and his loving wife Nadine. Bill retired from the Air Force in after 20 years of service. He made his home in Phoenix AZ. He was very active in the American Legion, Post 29, Glendale, Arizona where he was a Life Member. He served two terms as Commander of Post #29. He also served as District 11 Commander, Department Commander, Alternate to the National Executive Committee and as a member of the National Executive Committee. He was a life member of American Legion Riders where he was a charter member. He was a Life Member of the DAV and the VFW. Bill has been interred in the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, where he will receive Military Honors at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations will be accepted at American Legion Post 29, PO Box 125, Glendale, AZ 85301. All donations will go the Boys State. A celebration of life is planned at the American Legion Post #29 at a later date
