William Andrew Charney, 79, passed away peacefully in his El Mirage home on Friday, May 7, 2021. Born to Frank and Helen Charney in Windber, Pennsylvania on October 6, 1941. William was a veteran of the U.S. Airforce, proudly retiring in 2004 from Luke Airforce Base as a civil engineer. William is survived by his loving wife, Rose Charney, four children; Steve (Beth) Charney, Richard (Susanne) Sainsbury, Ronald (Cindy) Sainsbury, Michael (Gina) Charney, grandchildren; Michael, Kristen, Mykala, Marley, Hayden, Vincent, Cheyanne and great-grandchildren; Genita-Rose and Charlotte Grace. He was a loving husband , father and grandfather and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Services will be held on Friday, May 21, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Menke Funeral & Cremation Center, 12420 N. 103rd Ave., Sun City, Arizona 85351.
