William Howard Rowe (Bill) passed away July 19, 2025. Bill lived a good long life, retiring from the US Navy after 20 years of service. He then worked in logistics at United Van Lines, Salt Lake Desk, and Ethan Allen. After moving to Arizona, he worked for 15 years as a Correctional Officer for the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office at the Madison Street Jail. He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He married CloDell Evans Rowe on September 6, 1956, in the Salt Lake Temple and she predeceased him on September 18, 2017. He made use of his military discipline throughout his life and family meant everything to him. He is survived by their five children, Robin (DeLoy), Wendy (Mike), Estella (Curt), Billy (Tammy) and Paula (Jen), one brother, Jerry Rowe, brother-in-law Dan Evans (Kathryn), and sister-in-law Shirley Evans. He was also blessed with 16 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents William B Rowe & Beatrice W Fisher, his sisters Dorothy A Lewis and Billye J Edgar Elg, sister-in-law Delores (Dee) Rowe and brothers-in-law, Frank Evans and LuDell Evans.
The family would like to thank Hospice of the Valley. Though being of service for just a short time, they were kind, informative, efficient, and dependable as they provided for Bill, and supported the family, in the last few days of his life.
A visitation will be held at 9:30 am with funeral services at 10:30 am, Monday, July 28, 2025, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 5104 West Pinnacle Peak Road, Glendale, AZ. Following the funeral, there will be a graveside service with military honors at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 2929 E Pinnacle Peak Rd, Phoenix, at 1:30 pm.
