Woodrow Helfrich

Woodrow S. Helfrich, age 85 died Nov. 30, 2022, in Sun City, AZ. He was born May 2, 1937, in Lehigh County, PA to Stewart and Helen Helfrich. He attended Parkland High School and Catawba College in Salisbury, NC. He participated in basketball programs at both high school and college. He married Mary Rahn in 1958 and they had 2 sons Mark and Jess. He began his teaching career in 1959 at Parkland High School and retired from education in 1997. They moved to Park Rapids, MN in 1999, and during his retirement Woodrow spent summers in Minnesota and winters in Arizona. Woodrow is survived by his wife Mary and sons Mark and Jess, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Family services will be held in Minnesota in the spring.
