Ruby M. Speer was born January 24, 1925. She entered into eternal rest at her home on Sunday morning October 23, 2016. Ruby was born in Inglewood, California and later in life moved to the Sun City area. She retired from Luke Air Force Base where she enjoyed working with the fighter pilots as a clerk. She enjoyed playing golf with her first husband Dean and then later in life her second husband, Howard Speer. Ruby is survived by her daughter, Deena Beth Homesley and her husband Donald Homesley, two grandchildren Sheila and Lee, and four great-grandchildren, Gwendolyn, Dean, Sayles, and Deckert. She is also survived by four stepsons John, Jeff, Greg and Steve Speer. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, November 1, 2016, 11am at the Shepherd of the Desert Lutheran Church, 11025 N. 111th Ave. Sun City, AZ. 85351. Donations may be made to the Shepherd of the Desert Lutheran Church in lieu of flowers.
