William C. Hellman

William C. “Bill” Hellman, 79, of Peoria passed away October 31, 2008. A beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, and a great friend to all. Bill was an Arizona native born in Phoenix. He retired from the IBEW Local #769 and was a veteran of the US Air Force having served in the Korean War. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Mary Ann; children Rita & Joe Hannum of Las Vegas, NV, Robert Hellman of Oklahoma City, OK, Debbie & Harold Bloomer of Show Low, AZ, William “Chris” & Janet Hellman of Spokane, WA, Therese Halsey of Peoria, AZ and Rick & Melissa Acord of Peoria, AZ; step-children Debbie & Frank Lauro of Coeur d Alene, ID, Theresa Gerbig of Phoenix, AZ, David & Cathy Gerbig of Glendale, AZ, Chuck Gerbig of Yale, OK and Chris Gerbig of Robin Warner, GA ; sister Jean Hemingway; 21 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; preceding him in death is son Chuck Hellman in 1991. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. with Rosary at 6:00 p.m., Monday, November 3, 2008 at Menke Funeral Home, 12420 N. 103rd Ave., Sun City. Funeral mass at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 4, 2008 at St. Joachim & St. Anne Catholic Church, 11625 N. 111th Ave., Sun City, AZ with interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Avondale, AZ. Donations are suggested to Research for Pulmonary Disease or have masses said in Memory of William C. “Bill” Hellman.
