Stewart J. Wood

Wood, Stewart Deacon of the Diocese of Phoenix
Passed away on 4/30/2006. He was the Son of the late John and Mary Wood of Toronto Canada. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Marie: Two daughters, Christine, wife of James Kowalski and Nancy Wood: A sister Geraldine Hallett and the late Scott Hallett of Michigan, and a brother Curry Wood and his wife Helen of Toronto Ontario Canada: Two grandchildren, Brandon Stewart Kowalski and his wife Erika and Lisa Christine Kowalski, and 12 nieces and nephews. His career was spent in the airline industry for 28 years. He was ordained a Permanent Deacon by the Most Reverend Thomas J. O’Brien, Bishop of Phoenix Arizona on Feb. 27, 1987. He served for 11 years at St. Raphael’s Parish in Glendale and then assigned to St. Elizabeth Seton in Sun City in 1998.
